How deep should I spread my mulch?
For best results, we recommend an initial application of 4 inches followed by an additional 3 inches annually.

how many cubic yards can my truck hold, provided I opt to pick up my order?
Full sized trucks are typically capable of hauling 3 cubic yards of mulch (tarped), or 1/2 yard of soil or stone. These are approximate values and are subject to variance in product type and truck size.

How many bags equal one cubic yard of mulch?
About 13 bags measuring two cubic feet or 9 bags measuring three cubic feet equal one cubic yard of mulch.

When can I water plants in the area where new dyed mulch is spread?
It is best to refrain from watering planting areas with new dyed mulch for one to two days. Try also to avoid spreading dyed mulch when rain is forcasted in the following days.

How often do I need to mulch?
This varies with respect to the color and type of mulch being used and how fresh you prefer your landscape to appear. General rule of thumb is to reapply your mulch annually. Colored mulches may maintain a fresher look longer.

- Be certain to allow hardwood mulches to air out and cool down after application. Do NOT place hardwood mulch in an area in which it will touch plants. Thoroughly water hardwood mulch after application.
